Prof. Dr. Mehmet Bulgen is a faculty member in the Department of Kalam at Marmara University Faculty of Theology. After graduating from Marmara University Faculty of Theology, he completed his masters degree in 2005 and doctorate in 2012. He conducted postdoctoral research at McGill University and Syracuse University, and works in kalam, Islamic philosophy, philosophy of religion and cosmology. He became an associate professor in 2017 and a professor in 2023.
